What is Malware?

What is malware used for and why is it dangerous?

Cybercriminals use malware to damage, exploit, or breach systems with the goal of stealing sensitive information, spying on people or organizations, disrupting operations, gaining unauthorized access, or taking systems hostage through different types of ransomware. It can also be used for sabotage, cryptojacking, and cyberwarfare, targeting systems for financial, political, or strategic gains.
